"This was one of my favorite maternity sessions, simply because this Mama was so excited to capturing her pregnancy. Previous losses gave them gave them such gratitude for this growing baby in her belly and it showed in her eyes and in her smile."
Guys, I named this recipe “Potluck Brownies” because if you are going to a Potluck, this recipe will win. Is Potluck capitalized? Let me know.
Not like “I WON THE WHOLE POTLUCK!” and you get a trophy for the win, although, I kinda think you would win that trophy with this recipe, but I chose this name because it’s easy, you likely have the ingredients already and everyone will love it.
Also, no mixer. (this is a big deal to me. I love my mixer, she’s a very good, trusty friend of mine but I’d rather clean a spoon than a mixer.)
I came across this recipe awhile ago, someone shared an old, typed-out recipe on an index card and I took a screenshot of it. then, one day, I made it and everyone roared and cheered with delight! (especially me because I used up a bunch of ingredients that, alone, they weren’t enough to use in a recipe but as a team, with the others, they created a delightful dessert.)
And that’s the charming thing about this dessert…you can do whatever you want! Peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, marshmallow creme, butterscotch, graham crackers, twix bars, caramel, coconuts, walnuts, cookie batter, a pizza…you get the idea. (in the photo, I used white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, milk chocolate chips and coconut. (I add the coconut half way though the baking process, but you don’t have to do that.)
1 cup chocolate chips and/or any other toppings you'd like.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 9x13 pan with parchment paper. (I like to extended it on the shorter sides, then, once it's cooled, you can just pull up the sides up and pull the bars out of the pan. This makes cutting much easier.
Combine all ingredients into a large bowl, except chocolate chips and toppings. Mix with spoon until thoroughly combined.
Spread into pan. (this is a thick batter, so I would recommend pouring out a few clumps throughout to make spreading much easier.)
Sprinkle with toppings and bake for 30 minutes.
Allow to cool, but serving slightly warm is delightful.
