This is a recipe I created that is loved by everyone in this house. Maybe…too much. (glares at myself in a mirror.)
It’s created with brown butter. If you aren’t sure what brown butter is or how to make it, well, click here.
This cookie is tricky because it’s darker in color, so don’t under bake and but definitely don’t over bake, bake them just right, okay? And when you take a bite of the warm, rich cookie, when your friends, family, neighbors and colleagues raise you up on their shoulders in celebration of your outrageous, well, just remember me.
If you’re gluten free, good news! This recipe has been tested with gluten free cup-to-cup flour and it’s the cat’s meow, but you will have to remove the oats or add gluten free oats. (p.s. I recommend King Arthur’s flour for all of my baking, especially gluten free.)
